Why the UK

Why move to the UK

Britain is short of the people it trains for, and it pays for them. That is why three of its routes ask for your record rather than your money.

A world-class innovation hub

London and the regional tech clusters run on foreign specialists, and the country backs startups and innovative projects on top of that.

A path to a British passport

Permanent residence first, then citizenship and one of the world's most useful passports.

Healthcare, schools and city life

The NHS, a strong school and university system, and one of the world's most diverse societies, so your family recognises the place from day one.

Europe's financial capital

Banks, funds and investors sit inside one square mile, which matters if you are building something.

Settlement can come in three yearsOn Global Talent a leader-level case can apply for permanent residence after three years instead of the usual five. Your visa type and your qualifications decide whether the fast track is open, and we map the timeline before you file.

Who this is for

Who can move to the UKand on which route.

Four profiles cover almost every case we take, and each one opens a different route.

High-demand field

You work in IT, engineering, healthcare or research

Britain is short of these people, and the routes were written around them.

A documented record

You have awards, publications or recognition

A record in your field can carry the case with no job offer and no salary floor.

A UK job offer

A UK employer wants to hire you

Skilled Worker starts at £41,700 a year, and some occupations qualify below that.

A business that can scale

You have an idea worth backing

Innovator Founder tests innovation, viability and scalability. There is no fixed investment minimum.

See Innovator Founder

One of the four describes you. The call is about which route it opens and what it will take to prove.

What the UK gives you

What changes once the permit is in hand.

These five things are the same on all three routes. The route only changes what you have to prove to get there.

Your family moves with you

Your spouse and children under 18 get the right to live, work and study in the UK from day one.

Permanent residence in as little as 3 years

We map your profile against the three routes and build the roadmap to permanent residence, which a leader-level Global Talent case can reach in three years. Five years on the other routes.

You can change employer or start a company

Global Talent and Innovator Founder are not tied to one employer, and you keep full work rights in the UK.

Grants, investors and tax incentives

UK residents can apply for public grants, R&D incentives and investment programmes open to businesses and professionals.

You sign and you attend. That is your part.

Your consultant handles the documents, the translations and the appointments while you keep working.

None of this depends on the route. It depends on the file being right the first time.

UK routes

The three main UK visas and residence permits.

From world-class technology talent to skilled professionals and innovative founders, we match you with the right UK route. The same five questions are asked of each one, so you can rule two of them out in a minute.

For leaders and rising talent with a documented record.

Global Talent

For leaders and rising talent in digital technology; science, engineering, research and medicine; and arts and culture. Endorsement comes from a body such as Tech Nation, the Royal Society, UKRI or Arts Council England.

What we do for you

We build the evidence, then we file the case.

Two route scopes and one family scope, because a talent portfolio and a founder file are different amounts of work.

UK questions

Questions people ask before they commit.

These come up on almost every UK call. Still have questions? Ask the Relovisa AI agent on the site, or bring them to the consultation and ask a person.

How long does a UK visa decision take?

A decision usually takes about three weeks after you submit, and priority services can be faster. Global Talent adds an endorsement stage first, which can take around eight weeks. End to end, plan 2 to 6 months for Global Talent, 10 to 16 weeks for Innovator Founder and 1 to 6 months for Skilled Worker.

How much money do I need to show?

Skilled Worker: a salary from £41,700, lower for some occupations. Global Talent: no salary minimum at all. Innovator Founder: your business is assessed, and you show maintenance funds of £1,270 for yourself, £285 for a partner, £315 for a first child and £200 for each additional child, held for 28 days.

Which jobs qualify for the Skilled Worker visa?

Roles on the Skilled Worker occupation list, including IT and software development, healthcare, engineering and science, finance, teaching and research. The role has to meet both the skill level and the salary rule.

Can my family come with me?

Yes. Your spouse or partner and children under 18 apply as dependants and get the right to live, study and work. On Innovator Founder you show £285 for a partner, £315 for a first child and £200 for each additional child. Skilled Worker sponsors usually certify maintenance on the Certificate of Sponsorship.

Do I need a UK job offer?

Only for Skilled Worker. Global Talent is decided on your record and Innovator Founder on your business, and neither starts with a sponsor.

What do I get with permanent residence?

Permanent residence in the UK is called Indefinite Leave to Remain. It gives you an unrestricted right to live and work, full access to eligible benefits, no immigration conditions, freedom to travel and return, and a later route to British citizenship.
